Daily schedule
In our Preschool, our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in a lot of outdoor activities , independant child choice activities and Group play.
Morning circle:
9:30 a.m.
Morning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day.The children in our playschool will be given a choice for independent play at outdoor nature-nurturing play area or indoor sensory based play space.
Gratitude Time:
9:40 a.m.
Morning prayer time at our Squad preschool is a moment to pause, reflect, and express gratitude, setting a positive tone for the day through music. It helps us foster a sense of connection, and embrace the blessings in our journey.
Child choice time:
9:40 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a teacher facilitated activity.
Snack time:
10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Children begin snack with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. Snack time is a chance to bond and learn kindness through sharing food, which we at Squad encourage as part of building connections. If parents prefer otherwise, their child will have a separate seating area for meal time.
Quiet time:
11:00 a.m.
A short rest time (two minutes) at snack tables while listening to quiet music and thank God for the yummiest snack of the day.
Story time:
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
The teacher reads a story to the class relative to the current curriculum.
Explore time:
11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The teacher facilitates the exploration session in the designated room which can be in the Classroom or Art studio or with our Nature Zone. The children will choose to select the areas of exploration under the current curriculum.
Clean up time
12:00 p.m.
All children work together to clean up our class room with music and songs.
Music time:
12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Music time is when we explore rhythm, melody, and joy, sparking creativity and self-expression. It helps build confidence and creates moments of collective happiness.
Goodbye:
12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Children gather personal items, receive handouts, and wait at the front door for dismissal.
